Blairview was started in 1969 by John & Lynn Blair. They purchased a 20' x 24' building and added it on to the side of their trailer house. In 1975 they built a house and had their saddle shop built in between the house and the garage. Here they proceeded to sell saddles and tack until eventually moving to the Viking Plaza Mall where they have been located for the last several years. In August 2002 they purchased a 3 acre parcel, which consists of the current saddle shop and the building to the west; and started making plans to move when their mall lease ran out in April 2004. They are excited about the new location and added space and hope to make their store a fun place to shop.
